Andrew Coates Photography now has a new website. Hooray. Check it out for some more pics, info about me, my studio and also the best ways to contact me. I hope you like it and I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback. Click here to go straight to it.

Claire and Chris

Claire was a bridesmaid at a wedding I shot at the end of last year (see pic) and we had heaps of fun that day so I was really looking forward to another fun day with Claire and Chris. With the crazy hot weather during the day we thought for sure that we would get wet while doing the photos. Thankfully the weather stayed away and we were able to get heaps of photos at the botanical gardens in Brisbane. Congrats guys and I really hope you enjoy your honeymoon.

Lauren and Paul

The time had rolled around for Crighto and Laurens big day. After many months of planning it all came together. Even some poor weather couldn't dull the excitement that was in the air. I had a great day spending time with you both taking the photos and I can't wait to show them to you. Talk soon.

Hughes Family

After a few date clashes, we caught up on a saturday morning to do some family pics. Their super cute kids made my job as the photographer pretty simple. Mum and Dad looked pretty sharp too.

Borger Family

After dealing with Bec mostly on business matters it was good to catch up with her and her family for a family shoot. Total respect goes to Jason for chasing after Noah during the photos. Man that kid has some energy. You guys are going to have your hands full, for the next few years.

Sarah and Andrew

My good friends Andrew and Sarah, tied the knot today and for ages I had been looking forward to taking their photos. Despite Sarah being almost an hour late at the hair dresser we still managed to run mostly on time. Sarah looked amazing but Dan almost stole the show with his blue mohawk. Congratulations on a beautiful wedding and i'm looking forward to catching up after the honeymoon.

Kelly and Lachlan

It was a great day for photos, Kelly looked fantastic all the girls were very relaxed at the preparation. The guys even arrived on time and were looking very flash as well. It had been ages since I had done a wedding shoot in the lane near my studio, so I had a few new ideas that I was keen to try out. And they all worked. I love it when that happens.

Amanda and Paul

Another rainy day but it held off just long enough and the heavens opened literally as Amanda was getting into the car to leave the ceremony. The weather worked to our advantage as there was beautiful even light and it's always having dramatic storm clouds as backdrop. Heaps of great shots. It was hard picking just a few to put on the blog.

Sandra and Steve

A wonderful overcast day and some cool weather. You have to love Springtime in Toowoomba. We had a great time together and despite an eventful morning for Steve with a trip to the emergency room, he made it to the wedding on time and kept his mind of the job. Thanks guys for an enjoyable day.

Kim and Mick

I only met Kim a few weeks before the wedding, but after some quick planning and a few phone calls, we had everything under control. The day was perfect and everything ran to plan. It was a privilege to spend the day with Mick and Kim on their wedding day and also have some laughs with Kim's sisters who were the bridesmaids and Micks hilarious groomsmen. The kombis looked great in the photos too.

Gayleen and Michael

With the wedding being on a Friday we had plenty of spectators while we were taking the photos. We even managed to get to three places to get a good variation of looks. I loved Gayleens white Dr Martens wedding shoes too. Michael, you were looking pretty sharp as well.

Tanya and Wade

Despite threatening clouds all day, we almost made it through without getting wet. Just a little shower at the end of the photos. Those heavy clouds made great light for photos. With the girls and guys keen to get some photos done we headed off to a couple of locations and even arrived at the reception a bit early. That never happens. Thanks for a fun day guys.

Melissa and Daniel

Despite mixing up names all the time ( sorry guys ) it was a really enjoyable day for me. We only had a limited time to get our locations shots done but the willingness and carefree vibe of the bridal party meant that all I had to do was be there to capture what was going on. Mission accomplished. Congrats guys and yes I did even manage to get a few shots when Carlo wasn't talking.

Rebecca and Blue

A peaceful drive to Roma in the morning had me relaxed for shooting the wedding of Blue and Rebecca in the afternoon. With a local property as the backdrop for the ceremony, everyone was having heaps of fun and was nice and relaxed, geared up for a wonderful night. We timed the photographs almost perfectly as we were able to get some nice sunset shots before we headed into the reception.
